Grand Master Chong Min Lee is a native of Seoul, Korea. He began his study of Hapkido in his teenage years and made Hapkido a lifetime pursuit. Grand Master Lee attained the rank of 9th Degree Black Belt and the title of Grand Master. Grand Master Lee moved to the United States in June, 1980. He opened the Hapkido Center and formed the World Hapkido Association. Grand Master Lee taught martial arts to the Police Department in Plainfield, New Jersey. The Hapkido Center is located in Warren, New Jersey where Master Lee is still instructing students in Hapkido. He has been instructing students in Hapkido for over 42 years. Grand Master Lee is Master Instructor of the Hapkido Center, President of The World Hapkido Association and is also a member of the Law Enforcement Officers Association New Jersey State. == History == 1966 -Served as Instructor of the 1st Special Forces Group in the Korean Army. May, 1967 - His demonstration of Hapkido telecast by B.B.C-TV. July 3, 1967 - Directed the demonstration in honor of former Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey during his visit to Seoul, Korea. Served as the Instructor of Hapkido for Police Department in the City of Seoul, Korea. Feb 26,1969 - Directed the demonstration in honor of Mr. Chang the Chancellor of Republic of China Served as the Instructor of Hapkido for the Presidential security guards & supervised the selection and advancements of security forces. Author of the book Hapkido used by various Police Departments in Korea and also by the Presidential body guards and other public institutions.
